Christmas cards 2 (preparing for Christmas 5)

I've made a number of Christmas tree cross stitch Christmas cards - this design is surprisingly simple and can be completed in a couple of hours, and I managed to do 6 of them! The design came from a little kit that I bought at Hobbycraft, but then I used some of my own cottons to make some more, and then bought cards at Hobbycraft to present them in. The bear card also came from a kit but was a little bit more time consuming, so I only did one of those. I hope that people will appreciate the effort put into a cross stitch Christmas card, although the other ones that I have made have been much more labour intensive! More on those next week...

  2. Well done Verity, they are gorgeous. I normally make my own cards, but I am not sure if I am going to have time this year.

  3. Lovely cards, Verity. People do usually appreciate the extra time and effort put into creating hand crafted items.

  5. Cute and I love seeing some of your books in the background! I thought of doing cross stitch christmas cards too, but lifting patterns for gingerbread men or snowflakes from full size christmas cross stitch patterns... although right now it just seems like too much work!

  6. Fab cards - I have not made any for a few years, got into stitching larger pictures then into canvaswork and then into knitting. Shame I have to go to work really!

  7. I love these--have always thought of making something similar to give as gifts, but I never plan very well! I might just manage one small Christmas ornament at this point! :)

  8. I always dream of making my own Christmas cards, but have difficulty finding the time each year. Maybe once I'm more settled? I do love the look of these cards!
